How To Grow Strawberries Indoors

1. Choosing The Best Indoor Strawberry
When growing indoors you will want an Everbearing Strawberry that will produce Fruit throughout the entire summer season. Be sure the variety you choose has no runners so the strawberry patch stays neat inside its container. We recommend Red Alpine Strawberries for first time indoor growers, as they are a forgiving breed. (see products below)

2. Container and soil
Choose a planter that is around 12" deep, and fill it 3/4 full with high quality soil. Place the container in full sunlight, somewhere that gets at least 8 hours of sunlight  (in a big window or on the sun porch)

3. Planting Strawberries
If you have starter plants make sure you bury the entire root system when planting. For seeds, poke many holes in the soil and plant many seeds, then cover them with soil. Water the new seeds and place them in direct sunlight, Make sure the soil stays moist until the seeds have sprouted!

4. Let Them Grow
After you have established the patch water them when the soil gets dry and fertilize every 10 days with 1/2 dose of fertilizer. (Use a 10-10-10 Fertilizer, but only use half of what the directions say to use) Do this and you will be enjoying sweet strawberries all through the summer season.
